Column Five Media and the History Channel have collaborated on a festive infographic highlighting how Americans celebrate Christmas. Some interesting statistics:

  • 88% of Americans put up trees
  • 65% attend religious services
  • The U.S. Postal service delivers 15.8 billion cards, letters and packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
  • Americans send 1.5 billion Christmas cards annually

Justgiving (the UK’s largest online fundraising site) has created a Christmas infographic based on nine years of data on festive donations. It reveals a few interesting facts including

  • 22 Dec is the most populate day to donate, but people are most generous on 12 Dec
  • Women made more donations, but were less generous than men
  • Charities involved in international activities, social services and medical support are the most popular in December
